Episode 1:

Om our first episode of “You’ve Been Cak3D,” we’re celebrating none other than Robert Lucas, the brilliant mind behind The Sweet Impact. Robert is a self-taught cake artist and baker whose jaw-dropping creations have earned him over 1.2 million Instagram followers, 3.3 million YouTube subscribers, and 3 million TikTok followers. Oh, and did I mention he was a coach on Netflix’s The Big Nailed It Baking Challenge?

Before he blew up in the baking world, Robert was out here working in IT in his hometown of Screven County, Georgia. But in 2019, everything changed. He spotted a unicorn cake on Instagram, decided to try making it himself, and let’s just say—he never looked back. Now, his business, The Sweet Impact, is out here inspiring millions with bold, imaginative cakes that are just as fun as they are beautiful.

For his Cak3D cup, I had to recreate his iconic ice cream cake design—a playful nod to Neapolitan ice cream, complete with the cutest little cones. Here’s a wild fact: even though Robert is a cake artist extraordinaire, he doesn’t even like cake like that! His real love? Ice cream. So, this design just made perfect sense.

Bringing this cup to life was nothing but joy. The soft browns, pinks, and creams mixed with those fun cone details? It’s like capturing the essence of Robert’s creativity and his love for all things sweet in one perfect sip.

I can’t wait for Robert to receive this cup. It’s a small token of appreciation for the incredible talent he shares with the world and the inspiration he gives to creators like me. Stay tuned for the reveal—it’s going to be as sweet as his impact!

Why I’m Doing This?

At the end of the day, this whole series is really a love letter to creativity. It’s about celebrating the people who make beautiful things and showing them that their work doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s my way of spreading a little joy and letting others know how much their creativity means to me. Plus, let’s be honest—it’s just fun. Who knows? Maybe one day, you’ll wake up to find You’ve been Cak3D, too.
